The aeroplane and my soul spread their wings. Somewhere there among the clouds I felt my hot blood to flood through my whole body and be accumulated in my heart.
Her image came to my shuttered eyes like a mysterious holy Mary illuminated by candles in the most deserted church of the world. My whole being was a kneeled believer in front of her holiness, looking forward to a miracle.
Somewhere in the deep of this chaotic journey, the image of Lima was portrayed in my imagination.
Sleep enshrouded me and I woke up abruptly only when the wheels of the braked abruptly on the corridor of airport of Santo Dominico, capital of the Dominican Republic.

Athens escorted the soul wrecking voices of my mind with crazy judgements and intense yelling. As I was passing through its center and the old meatmarket, I believed that maybe I was at the noisiest place on the planet.

I walked around the ancient alleys that surround Acropolis and I took my mind off things for a while in view of the Parthenon and the ancient marbles. My house was the last place that I would like to be at this specific moment. I was and felt really sick, but, above all, I felt empty and dead inside.

My aeroplane landed on Konstantinople early in the afternoon. The stranger that works at my firm led me in a hurry and without any stop to the headquarters in the centre of the city. To my great sadness, I got informed that I would have to leave Konstantinople behind me and get more eastern , exactly in the centre of Asian Turkey. My new destination would be Tokat.
Tokat overwhelmed me with a sweet but also strange melancholy. It was surrounded by small hills and mountains with undergrowth.

Time is your worst ally. He gives an ongoing and excruciating battle against those things that you’ve built inside you with devotion, against all those things that are unable of resisting and lie defenseless on the blood stained ground of battle. Time takes his revenge relentlessly and turns against your own existence.

The hotel was a building that outstanded noticeably from the others. The small tree in the centre of the square seemed to be craving for companionship and to be suffocated by the surrounding environment. The tree in the square of Koritsa had something from my own personality. We resembled in our solitude and in the unadaptable of our character.

I carried my suitcases upstairs and descended quickly towards the big market. Around me were women, men and children who were occupied in a frantic trade of goods that you thought they exchanged the whole world.

Such a decision I needed now, too. Zuzi was saying farewell to me for good as she was leaving for her trip to South America and I was taking the route for the Balcan. The verses of a Greek poet, who praised through his words the small, yet significant encounters of life, were swirling on my mind. Love should not be restricted by rules and must haves. It is also a free fish that yearns to be caught in the nets.

It was a rainy afternoon in April. The owner of the small store in my village told me that the circumstances were ideal if someone wanted to catch some fish. I had never gone fishing before in the past and I wasn't absolutely sure how I would be able to make it.

Zuzi followed me reverently up to Acheloos banks, a river that counts centuries of presence among the slopes of the mountains of Central Greece. The legend says that it was once a god and that the impetuousness of its waters composes ancient greek melodies.
